I’ve been inspired by my studies with a variety of teachers including David Swenson, Kino MacGregor, Mark Darby, Petri Räisänen, Sharon Salzburg, Rick Hanson, S.N. Goenka, as well as my own 20 plus years of experience practicing Insight Meditation, Yoga and Zen meditation. I was trained and received my yoga teacher training certification in 2007 and have been teaching yoga, mindfulness workshops and weekend retreats ever since. My teachings focus on how to take the goodness we receive from our yoga and meditation practice and bring it to our daily lives.
I have had a life-long interest in meditation, wellness, nutrition, yoga, philosophy and positive psychology. I deeply understand the importance of mindfulness in our everyday lives and how, when we work diligently on our own “consciousness” it moves out into the world. When we are more connected to ourselves, we become more connected to our families, our neighbors, our communities and our planet.
I created this site to help inspire people to bring balance back into their lives. To me the formula of being well-balanced involves the cultivation of awareness. My intention is to inspire people to practice awareness (via mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditation), in order to shed some of the distractions in daily life, to tap into their true selves.
